Fly, Be Fearless

Ruby Rock-It Brands and Ranger have teamed up to share some creative projects for the next couple of months.  Ranger has brought out a line of Mini Distress Ink Pad Sets, and today I’m sharing a mixed media layout with the Rusty Hinge, Victorian Velvet, Broken China, and Gathered Twigs set with the Mini Ink Blending Applicators.

I started with a plain white cardstock and came up with a fun, grungy, and rusty mixed media page, featuring my youngest daughter.  Check her out…she always encourages me to fly, spread my wings, and be fearless!

“Fly, Be Fearless”

Ruby Rock-It Brands materials: Borderlines Bling, Blue Butterflies Bling, Gold Florals, Blue Florals, Pink Corrugated Cardstock, Raw & Rustic Clear Stamp Set, Faded Empire Clear Stamp Set, Bolt Clear Stamp Set, White Lettering On Kraft Alpha Sticker Set, Gelato Butterflies

First, I applied the Broken China and Gathered Twigs through some Scrapmatts Hexagon Stencil with the Ink Blending Applicator around the photo.  I then added some stamping with the Victorian Velvet, Rusty Hinge, and Gathered Twigs around the page.

The versatile Bella Borderlines Bling are then added for touches of texture and Bling around the page.  Some more texture has been added on top of these and some splattering of the Broken China and Gathered Twigs Distress Ink.

A cluster of Gold and Blue Bella Florals are then added beside the photo, along with some Fundamentals Gelato Butterflies and Kraft Alpha Stickers.  I also used these Alpha Stickers as a stencil, inked with the Victorian Velvet using the Ink Blending Tool/Applicator.  The Scrapmatts Hexagon Chipboards are inked with the Rusty Hinge.

The edges of the page are then inked with Victorian Velvet, Rusty Hinge, and Gathered Twigs using the Ink Blending Tool.  It’s finished off with the addition of drops, gold glitter, and a Blue Bella Butterfly Bling.

This layout is inspired by More Than Words’ September Fearless & Grunge Challenge:

Oh how fun it was to create this fearless rusty grungy page! Thanks for popping in and I’ll be back for more Ranger Distress Ink-spiration soon.

Cheers,
