Good day. How’s your Christmas countdown going so far? It’s one of the busiest time of the year and it’s also one of my favourites as I get to create lots of crafty presents. Today I’m sharing a canvas that I made for a friend, which she gives to her family as a present at least once a year. It is inspired by Prima’s December Build-A-Page:
Here’s my canvas:
“You & Me”
I added some beautiful cut outs from the Rosibelle collection for my canvas.
I wanted a fresh, metallic look all over the canvas and I’m really happy with the result.
I’ve used a couple of Prima stencils along with Finnabair’s Art Ingredients for texture.
The title beside the cluster of Prima flowers is from the Something Blue collection.
Thanks so much for popping in, and thanks to Prima for the awesome sketch and beautiful inspirations. There’s heaps more Prima eye candy here.
Hi there, how’s it going? It’s time for another Scrapmatts post and today I’m sharing a bright birthday card for a fun and energetic little birthday girl.
“Celebrate & Wish”
Scrapmatts Chipboards: Nested Stars (CB5021), String Circles (CB5138), Black Silhouettes (CB1195), Assorted Words (CB6116), Sticks (CB5153), Burnt Cream Scrap Words (CB1238)
Scrapmatts Stencil: Circles (ST5006)
I’ve used a Fundamentals Buttercup Cardstock for my card base and applied some black texture paste through the Circles stencil. I then embossed the star chipboard and layered this on top of the Bo Bunny Calendar Girl Paper with the cute emoji prints on top, this is then layered on top of the card.
For the top chipboard layers, I’ve painted the sticks white, the stars strings with Tattered Angels Yellow Glimmer Glam, and the wish word with Dylusions paint with traced edges topped with glossy accents. I also added some glitter on top of the black balloon, because glitter dipped balloons are delightful :). It’s all finished off with some flowers and it’s ready for the bubbly and cheery birthday girl.
Thanks for popping in and don’t forget to check out more Scrapmatts goodies here.
Good day! I’ve been having a blast teaching at Scrapaholics this month & I’m giving a big & thankful shout out to all the lovely ladies that attended my classes. Today I get to share with you my blue & gold fun mixed media layout class:
Shiny, shimmery, inky & glittery…we’ve had some messy fun in the class for sure.
Loving all the Green Tara flowers in this layout. Hopefully they get to supply more of these soon.
My daughter gave me the 2 thumbs up for this layout. I’m so lucky to have children who adore looking through their scrapbooks (made by their mom of course!). Just one of the many reasons I thoroughly enjoy this craft, & now I’m on a mission to share it. I hope you’ve had a great month & thanks for popping in. Do check out my class at Scrapaholics next month here. It’ll be a set of 3 cards this time using the beautiful Storyteller range. Hope to see you there. 🙂
Good day. Today I’m posting for Artfull Crafts with a layout featuring the Oh So Lovely collection. The name says it all, as this collection is just oh so lovely! It’s absolutely perfect for scrapping the special girls/women in your lives. Here’s what I’ve created:
“Be Your Own Kind of Beautiful”
I told you it’s a very pretty & oh so feminine collection! The die cut specialty gloss paper is a great base/background for framing your special photo, especially larger sized ones.
It comes with lots of pretty collectable pieces, & you can see the lovely bird, pink dragonfly & bird cage here. My favourite would have to be the leaves, as they’re so real looking! Some touches of mixed media gave this layout some oomph.
I’ve added some brown & coral ribbon roses, along with some light pink paper blooms & white doilies. The layered papers behind the photo are gorgeously glossy, & they come from the paper pad.
It’s finished off with some metallic ink splatters. I really wanted to document this photo of my eldest daughter, as she’ll only be this young for so long. In a few months she’ll be going to Primary School. It feels just like yesterday when she was my little baby girl, cradled in my arms, & now look at her. Forgive me for being a bit sentimental, as they grow up so fast. Time flies by so quickly which really motivates me to scrap as much photos of my blessings as I can. Do check out the Oh So Lovely collection here. You get a 20% discount for purchasing the entire collection. Thanks heaps for popping in & have a great day!
How’s it going? It’s the first day of February which for me means the very first reveal for Scrap the Girls…yay! I’m so thrilled to be part of this fun team! Here is the February moodboard:
Lots of lovely greens & blues, & some hints of white, gold & yellow. Here’s my fun take on it:
I was inspired by all the shades of the moodboard, the balloons, the round glass windows, the tutu inspired dress/skirt, & the touch of gold from the string of lights. This layout documents my youngest daughter’s first ever summer water balloon fun. This yellow swimsuit looks so gorgeous on her, just check out that yellow tutu with it…too cute! I hope I’ve inspired you to join in, it’s fun & easy. The rules are very simple, & you can enter here. The prizes for this month are Imaginarium chipboard prize pack worth $50 for the winner, & a $25 voucher from Scrappycanary for the runner up. Yummo!
Thanks so much for dropping by. Have a great month ahead!
Hello, hello! It’s time for Let’s Capture Our Memories reveal sketch#108, courtesy of Page Drafts by The Nifty Pixel:
I’ve been enjoying creating cards for LCOM, & I have to say that this is one of my favourite sketch. Here’s my card:
“Enjoy the Open”
I’m stoked how it turned out! I’ve given this card to our friends before they left for the Aussie Open for a couple of weeks. I received a happy phone call from them as soon as they received it, & got them really excited for the great event.
Don’t forget, you can join in the LCOM challenge here. Thanks for dropping by & have a great day!
