New Traditions – Christmas Joy Card

There’s only just under ten more weeks before Christmas and I have been slowly making some Christmas cards.  I’m excited to share with you my first card for this year’s holiday season, and it was a delight to create with the new Luxury Cardstock range and Christmas collections from Crafters Choice.

Crafters Choice materials: New Traditions A4 Luxury Cardstock Pack, New Traditions Die-Cut Pack, New Traditions Cards & Envelopes

I have used the red card from the New Traditions Card Pack for the base and punched one side of the front of the card.  I then trimmed a Mirror and Matt Card from the gorgeous Luxury Cardstock Pack and punched one side.  These are then layered under the same punched side of the card.

I trimmed a couple more Matt and Mirror card pieces and layered this on top of the card.  I then added some stenciling and mediums on top, and then adhered the joy title from the New Traditions Die-Cut Pack.  I finished the sentiment off by adding a small flower cluster to it.

For a beautiful finish, I trimmed another Mirror card to size and adhered this inside the card.  Last but not the least, I trimmed a small piece of white cardstock and adhered this inside the card which will give me some space to write a message.

Thanks for popping and I hope I got you excited and looking forward to the Christmas season and get creating.  Check out the Ruby Rock-It Brands range HERE or at a Spotlight and a scrapbooking shop near you.

Cheers,

Bella Botanical Bloom

Spring has sprung in New Zealand and the sunnier weather has inspired me to create with Bella’s gorgeous Botanical collection.  I wanted to fill my display with lively colors much like bright spring floral blooms.

Ruby Rock-It materials: Bella Botanical Collection, Fundamentals Alpha Wood Veneers

I was doing a clean up at home and found an odd piece that looked like rubbish, which I decided to keep and tranform into my spring bloom display.

There are so many beautiful flowers, leaves, and butterflies to fussy cut from the Botanical collection which I’ve added to my cluster.

I then painted and misted around the display for a nice bright finish, just how lively spring season makes me feel.  Last but not the least, I added some painted Fundamentals Alpha Wood Veneers for the title.  Gotta love spring blooms!

Thanks for popping and and I hope you enjoyed my bright botanical display.  For more Ruby Rock-It, click HERE.

Box of Fun – Bella Nursery

I’ve been getting my fingers inky with my new baby layout featuring Bella’s new adorable Nursery collection with Ranger’s Distress Inkpads.  I always enjoy scrapping baby photos as it always takes me back to my childrens’ memories.

Bella materials: Nursery Collection, Bolt Florals, Bolt Chipboard Buttons, Gold Corrugated Cardstock, Fundamentals Alpha Wood Veneers

Ranger Distress Inkpads: Evergreen Bough, Antique Linen, Brushed Corduroy, Gathered Twigs, Weathered Wood

Other: Ranger Foam Applicator, White Cardstock, Mists, Stencils, Mediums

First I layered and stencilled my sunshine yellow mists on a white cardstock and let it set.  I then added some mediums and combined the different shades of Distress Ink on the page for depth and color.

I then framed my daughter’s photo with Bella’s Gold Corrugated Cardstock.  I love the shine and dimension of this versatile specialty cardstock.  The picture is then surrounded with some pretty golden florals from the Bolt collection.

Next I punched and fussy cut some sentiment and cute images from Bella’s Nursery paper collection, inking the edges with the Distress Ink.  I then adhered these around the page along with a gold foiled Bolt Chipboard Button.  It’s finished off with some more inking and stamping the title on the bottom of the page using the Fundamentals Alpha Wood Veneers.

I had so much fun getting creative with my daughter’s baby photo.  It’s so funny how she’s got all the toys in the world and the most fun she’s had is playing in, on, and around empty boxes.  Funny that, eh?

Think Pink Tags

My daughter’s birthday is coming up soon and we have been busy shopping for her loot bag goodies to give away.  We’ve decided to make our own tags to go with each loot bag with the help of Fundamentals’ tags, stamps, and Ranger’s Distress Inkpads.

Fundamentals materials: White Tag Pack, Sentiments Stamp Set

Ranger Distress Inkpads: Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick, Picked Raspberry

I punched some hearts from a scrap piece of white cardstock and generously applied the Spun Sugar inkpad all over the hearts.  I then inked the Picked Raspberry to the edges of the hearts and tags with Ranger’s sponge applicator.

I stencilled the Worn Lipstick shade to the tag and then adhered a pretty pink inked heart on each tag.  Lastly, I stamped the Fundamentals thank you sentiment on each heart and tied a white satin ribbon through the top hole of each tag.  Pretty pink tags done, fun and so easy to do.

This is definitely the special touch each loot bag needed.  Hope you’ve been inspired and you can check out all the Fundamentals range HERE, or at a Spotlight store near you.

Dad’s Day Distress Card

There’s only three weeks to go until we celebrate the special fathers in our lives.  My family love this time of the year as we honor dad, and what better way to express this by creating a Father’s Day card.

Materials: Franchville Neutrals Cardstock, Family Man Collection

Ranger Distress Inkpads: Mowed Lawn, Gathered Twigs, Aged Mahogany, Hickory Smoke, Old Paper, Walnut Stain, Chipped Sapphire

Other: Ranger Sponge Applicators

I started with the white cardstock from the Franchville Neutrals Cardstock set and then blended different shades of Ranger’s Distress Inkpad sets with the sponge applicator to achieve a layered grungy depth to my masculine card.

I then fussy cut some image and letters from Bella’s awesome Family Man paper collection and added this on the card, perfect for dad’s day.  I finished it all off with some stamping and more distress ink application around the card…so much fun!

Don’t forget to create something special for dad’s day.  I hope you enjoyed today’s post and you can check out more of Ruby Rock-It Brands HERE.  These are also available to purchase along with the Ranger Distress Inkpad range at a Spotlight store near you.

Thanks for popping in!

Dream Big – A Little Girl’s Card

Hi there.  Today I’m sharing a magical little girl’s birthday card filled with unicorn and pretty pinks.  Here’s to encouraging a birthday girl to dream big:

Bella materials: Magic & Wonder Paper Collection, Franchville Pastels and Neutrals Cardstock Pack

The pastel pink Franchville cardstock is the perfect base for this fun girly card.  I then die cut the black Franchville cardstock and layered it amongst the pretty Magic & Wonder paper and fussy cut image.  Some misting, inking and flowers from my stash are then added to finish the card.

What fun it was creating with the Bella’s sweet and magical Magic & Wonder collection.  Check out more of Ruby Rock-It Brands’ range HERE.

Mermaid Kisses Box

Hi there.  Today I’m excited to share a shimmery box surrounded with mermaid kisses and starfish wishes featuring Bella’s gorgeous new Dream mini theme paper collection.  As the name states, it has dreamy paper prints, colors and mermaids, and I opted to show the softer colors of the Dream collection.

Bella materials: Dream Paper Collection, Kraftastic Sticker, Franchville Glitter

First I’ve painted an old box with some Tattered Angels paints and then layered some Dream papers around the box.

I then mixed some gold Franchville Glitter with some mediums and stencilled the front and top of the box for shimmery texture.  I then misted and inked around the box for extra pops of fresh color.

I then fussy cut some mermaids and wordings and added these to the clusters on the box, amongst some pretty Kraftastic Stickers.  I just love the silver glitter that comes with the Kraftastic Sticker Sheets and these make great Bella crafting staples.

I had fun creating my mermaid wishes box and I hope you enjoyed looking through it.  Check out more of Bella’s collections HERE.
