Good day. We’re almost onto December & this has got me inspired to create festive projects lately. I love Scrap Around the World’s festive November mood board:
My main inspiration is the wooden star on top of the lit tree, & also the top left image’s white wood & “Most Wonderful Time” sentiment.
“Most Wonderful Time”
This is my first mixed media Christmas layout, & I had fun creating it :). We don’t get snow in our side of the world but I really wanted to add some “white” touches to the page, hence the splatters of white paint.
I’ve added some media on the hessian paper & layered a star silhouette cut out from a white wood paper. This is then layered under the sepia photo, giving it a nice frame & just the right amount of texture & shimmery color. Various alpha stickers are added at the right side as inspired by the board. I’ve added a little touch of heart on the photo as well.
She’s very happy & delighted to have Santa visit & give her a present from her preschool. She couldn’t stop talking about it to everyone for weeks! 🙂
Thanks for dropping by & I hope you enjoyed my post today. A big thanks also for the fab inspirations of the SATW team. Enjoy the rest of your month!
Hi there, how’s it going? We’ve had some amazing Christmas weather here in the city of sails, & hopefully it carries on through the new year. Before this year ends, I’d like to share a couple of Christmas cards that I’ve made, which I’m entering for Kaisercraft’s December challenge. Here’s the lovely sketch:
And it has to be based with this color scheme:
I created 2 cards for this year’s last Saturday challenge. Here’s my first entry:
I absolutely love Basecoat Christmas, as you can see. I added some pine needles & gorgeous little red apples on the card. I’ve rotated the sketch for my second entry:
Here’s my second card which features Yuletide collection:
This collection has a lovely traditional feel, which makes it easier for us to make our Christmas projects. I hope you’ve had a great Christmas season this year. Thanks for dropping in & enjoy the new year!!!
Hi there, how are you today? Only 2 more sleeps ’til Christmas! I feel like this year went by so quickly. Today I’m sharing with you a card for Cardabilities sketch#113:
Jumping into the season, I made a Christmas card:
“Just For The Season”
It was fun creating this card, of course the delightful sketch helped. Thank you for dropping in & enjoy your Christmas season!!!
How are you today? Just 4 more sleeps until the big man arrives! I’m so glad to finish all my Christmas cards last night, & one of them is an entry for Berry71Bleu’s December moodboard:
My main inspiration for the moodboard is the lovely couple, as this card is for my dear partner. Here’s my card:
I was also inspired by the ice & snowflakes from the board. I hope he will “love” this card as much as I loved making it. Thanks you for the wonderful challenge & inspirations. Merry Christmas to one & all!!!
It’s time for Let’s Capture Our Memories’ Sketch #102 reveal, & it’s all about Christmas. Here’s the Christmas card sketch:
Here’s my Christmas card:
“Joy, Hope, Peace, Believe”
As soon as I started making this card, I knew I had to add natural elements to it. I’ve put a little cinnamon quill inside the clear mini bottle & some pine needles to surround it.
Have you made your Christmas cards yet? If not, you can create some & join in the challenge for your chance to win. Until then.
How are you today? This week is all about Christmas decorations for the Artfull Crafts’ countdown. I have mentioned before that one of my favourite Kaisercraft Christmas collection is Basecoat Christmas, so I made a shadowbox unit for my girls using these lovely papers. It will be a yearly thing for my daughters now…we’ll buy a small Christmas item for each of them to choose & display in the box until we fill it up. This year they bought a small snow globe each. They absolutely love playing with it, & it puts a smile on my face everytime I see it. Christmas really is for the children. Here’s what I created:
I painted the edges with Kaisercraft Scarlet acrylic paint (I really like this color!). I also added the painted the wooden tree flourish with the same paint. I didn’t embellish the box as this is my daughters’ job. I hope you enjoyed looking at it as much as I created them. Don’t forget to join in the fun with the Christmas Countdown competition for your chance to win some prizes. Have a great day!
Hi there & thanks for dropping by my blog. I’ve been enjoying creating Christmas cards this year, & using Prima products for me is non-negotiable. My favourite category for the 12 days of Christmas challenge is day 7, which is to use Wooden Icons/Say it In Crystals for your card. Here are the 2 Prima product heroes for my card:
Here’s my entry for day 7 (Prima Wood Icons/Say It In Crystals):
I embossed the “O” Sunrise Sunset wooden icons gold for the chandelier, then added some Cartographer Say It In Crystals. I want to wish the recipient of this card a bright Christmas season, just like this bright & beautiful crystal chandelier. All products used for this card are from Prima except for the Christmas word.
That’s it for me today. See you then.
