Rockin’ The Moko

I have been itching to do some scrapbooking lately and thanks to my daughter she has given me the perfect photo for some fun scrapping.  I have mixed and matched Bella’s Graduation Mini Theme, Glittered Papers, and Ranger Distress Inkpads.

Bella materials: Graduation Mini Theme (Convocation, Fractions), Black Glittered Cardstock, Frosted Glittered Cardstock

Ranger Distress Inkpads: Salty Ocean, Broken China, Chipped Sapphire, Black Soot, Hickory Smoke, Weathered Wood, Foam Applicators

Other: Alphabet Punch, Star and Flower Punch, Flowers, Tattered Angels Mists

First I have inked some stripes with the Salty Ocean, Broken China, Black Soot, and Weathered Wood Distress inks and foam applicator from the Convocation paper.  I then folded the edges of this paper and adhered this onto a white cardstock, blending the same colours around the edges.

I then framed the photo with Bella’s Frosted Glitter Cardstock and adhered this onto the page with some dimensional tape.  Some more Salty Ocean, Broken China, and Chipped Sapphire ink has been blended around for some extra pop of colour.

For the title, I punched the alphas with Bella’s Black Glittered Cardstock and adhered them under the photo.  I have fussy cut a word out of the Fractions paper and surrounded this with a small cluster amogst the title.

As for the finishing touches, I have punched some stars and flowers to add to the page and some extra spritzing and splats of mists throughout.

Here’s how I did the big black splats:

  1. Get your black mist and straw ready.  Put a decent blob of black ink on the paper.
  2. Hold the straw and blow on the ink until it spreads out to a splat and let dry.

I am so glad to have a memory of my daughter with her Kapa Haka participation at school which she really enjoys.  This is just one of the many reasons why I love to scrapbook.

Bella Mini Themes are so versatile for any crafting themes, and these are available at a Spotlight store near you or online HERE.  Thanks for popping in.

Red Gallery Candy Boxes

Happy February! This month has a focus on the day of hearts and today I’m sharing my little treats with you featuring Bella’s Red Gallery papers.

Ruby Rock-It Brands materials: Bella Red Gallery Papers (Apples, Petals, Distress), Fundamentals Sentiment Toppers (Spring, Neutral), Franchville Gold Foil Mini Doilies

I’ve trimmed each Red Gallery paper to different sizes and then cut them through my candy box punch.

I then tied one end of the box and then filled it up with some chocolate coated almonds.  After that I tied the other end to secure the candy boxes.

Next I chose a couple of the larger pieces to feature more layers and sentiment on the boxes.  For these, I added some pretty Franchville Gold Foiled Doilies, flowers, and Fundamentals Sentiment Toppers.

I also added a couple of leaves and stamens onto selected boxes and kept the smaller ones fairly simple by adding small flowers.

Here are a few more closer looks of the red candy boxes.

I hope you enjoyed my Red Gallery candy boxes, perfect little treats for Valentines Day.  This paper collection is now available at the Ruby Rock-It Brands website HERE, and at a Spotlight store near you.

Thanks for popping in and don’t forget to share the love.

Cheers,

Sunny Side Up

It’s amazing when you come accros an oldie but a goodie Bo Bunny collection in your craft stash, and suddenly you are inspired to create.  Today I’m sharing a farewell card for a former colleague with the gorgeous Genevieve collection by Bo Bunny.

I just love the color combination of blue, yellow and white paired with classic prints for a striking mix.  This by far is one of my favourite Bo Bunny collection.

I inked the edges of with Ranger’s Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink and foam applicator to match the blue shades.

I then added the flower cluster from 49 & Market and Green Tara flowers.  Last but not the least, some Bo Bunny gold pearlescent drops are added around the circle and voila!

Always look for the sunny side of life whatever it throws at you.  Hope you enjoyed my card as much as I enjoyed creating it.

Where Heaven Has Touched The Earth

Hi there.  I’ve got a lush green layout to share with Aga Baraniak’s Compose Your Life paper collection and Tattered Angels’ paints, together it is a match made in heaven.  I just love this collection and the papers are great for adding layers of mediums.  Here is my heaven on earth layout:

Canvas Corp materials:

Compose Your Life 12×12 Paper: Be Strong
Compose Your Life 12×12 Paper: Red Flower Pieces
The Watering Can: Garden Words on Ivory Reverse Paper
12×12 E-Flute Black
Cord – Braided Cotton Rope: Bright White
Waxed Cotton Cord

Tattered Angels materials:

Glimmer Mists: Kiwi, Pistachio, It’s Brown, Graphite
Chalkboard Mist: Chalk

I generously misted the Kiwi Glimmer mist for my background with some splattering of the Graphite Glimmer Mist and Chalk Chalboard Mist.  I then lightly brushed the edges of the page with the It’s Brown Glimmer Mist.

I trimmed the sentiment off the Garden Words on Ivory Reverse Paper and fussy cut some leaves from the Red Flower Pieces paper and added these to the page.

Nothing can be more heavenly than have a perfect Spring wedding day and seeing your daughters walk down the aisle for you.  This truly was an unforgettable memory which I will forever treasure , and I’m so happy how my page turned out.

All Canvas Corp Brands’ range are available HERE.  Thanks for stopping by.

Cheers,

Here’s my April “Feathers” project:

“Imagine” ATC Hanging Wall Art

Canvas Corp Brands Materials:

Tattered Angels:
Navy High Impact Paint
Chalkboard Mists: Grape Ape, Black Orchid, Splash, Chalk
Glimmer Mists: Sapphire, Night B4 Christmas, Dragonfly, Periwinkle Bouquet, Abominable Snowman, Pearl, Crushed Shells, Gold

Canvas Corp:
Denim Fabric Sheet
Teal Burlap Flower
Dark Blue Burlap Sheet
Sisal Rope
Natural Hank Cord Rope
Cream Hank Braided Rope
Chocolate & Ivory Feathers Reverse 12×12 Paper

7 Gypsies: Lace Trimmings

I was inspired by the whole mood board…the gorgeous deep shades of blue and purple, the feathers, and the dream catcher.

I thought what a great idea it would be to transform an ATC into a hanging wall art inspired by the concept of dream catchers.

I’ve also used a couple of gorgeous Scrapmatts chipboards and stencil for this project:

Scrapmatts Chipboards: ATC10-008 Rounded Corners 01, CB1028 Butterflies 18, CB1238 Scrap Words 24

Scrapmatts Stencil: ST5033 Stencil Triangles

I really wanted to add layers and layers of color and texture throughout this hanging ATC wall art.  If you look closely you’ll see crackle here and there, dimensional butterflies against the stenciled triangles immersed in Tattered Angels paints.  I really love every single nook and cranny of this project.

I hope I’ve inspired you to join our awesome April “Feathers” Challenge.  Simply link up your entry HERE.  There’s an amazing prize pack and guest design spot up for grabs.  We can’t wait to see all your beautiful creations.  You’ve got 20 days to enter so get creating.

Enjoy your Easter weekend!

I’ve used the beautiful Scrapmatts Leaf Sprays stencil as a resist pattern which really stands out from the vibrant colors.  Of course, I had to add more stenciling on this page.  Did you spot the Circles, Strings, & Paint Drips?

Thanks for looking, & I’ll be back soon for another Scrapmatts creation (it’s gonna be a goodie!).  For more Scrapmatts chipboards & stencils, visit their online shop here.
