Celebrate Good Times

I had a blast creating and teaching my February class layout for Scrapaholics and today I get to share them with you.  Lots of clean layers and textures in this fun multi photo layout.  I’m aiming to have more photos in my layout classes this year, listening to what you lovelies have requested.  This layout is very much about the circles, and is repeated in many different ways throughout.  Here it is:

“Celebrate Good Times”

Thank you so much to all the lovely ladies that attended my February class and bought the kit.  I had such a blast and I can’t wait until Scrapaholics release my March class with you all.  A little hint: the background is definitely not white.

Another big news…I’ll be teaching two classes for Scrapaholics at SENZ – New Zealand’s largest Scrapbooking and Craft Expo which will be held at the Ellerslie Event Centre, Auckland on June 30-July 2.  Classes will be released early May so keep an eye out for SENZ class bookings here.  Wooohooo!

Thanks for popping in.

Boys Will Be Boys

This week were my last classes for the year with Scrapaholics and what a great year it has been.  I’ve met so many lovely ladies and Jodi has been so great and helpful.  Thanks so much for taking me on Jodi and I so look forward to a great new year of classes, so bring it on 2017!

Today I get to share with you my latest class layout which is a bit different from my usual.  And when I say different I mean no flowers, and it’s masculine.

“Boys Will Be Boys”

Boys Will Be Boys

I’ve used the stunning Mr. Tom’s Treasures from Pion Design, amongst Tim Holtz and Tattered Angels products and mediums.  I love putting my own fun twist on this gorgeous vintage and masculine collection.  And the best part about this page is how there are many layers on it without the bulk.

So thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who attended my classes.  I love having you all and sharing my ideas with you.  I’ve already got so many new ideas brewing in my head for next year’s classes.  So excited already!

Lovely – A Rosibelle Layout

I’m in love with Prima’s Rosibelle collection, so I got my hands on them as soon as they’re sold at my favourite scrapbook shop.  For a mojo quick start, I’ve created a layout inspired by Prima’s October CAT Challenge:

Yes, it’s a Cards and Tags Sketch Challenge, but I’ve decided to create a layout instead.  Here’s my Rosibelle page:

Rosibelle Collection: Wildflower Paper, Sweet Souvenirs Paper, Flowers and Leaves, Druzy Stones, Say It In Crystals

Prima Artisan Powders: Parisian Rosewood, Antoinette Pink

Other Prima Products: Gold Leaf Flakes

I had fun playing with the Artisan Powders and have used them in different ways.  First, I’ve colored it on the texture paste.  Second, I’ve colored it on the canvas sheet.  Third, for adding splatters on my background.  Lastly, I’ve colored it with some gel medium.  They’re versatile and easy to use.

How amazing are the Druzy Stones? If only I can have them in every size and color!

Rosibelle would have to be my favourite Prima collection this year…beautiful colors, lovely foiling, amazing prints…tick, tick, and tick!

Thanks for dropping by and that’s it for today’s post.  Check out more gorgeous Prima inspiration here.

Always Smiling – A Watercoloring Fun Layout

Hi there! I’m back on my element which means it’s time for a new layout post.  It’s all about playing with watercolors & Scrapmatts stencils, springing out of a super fun photo.

“Always Smiling”

Always Smiling

Scrapmatts Stencils: Leaf Sprays (ST5004); Circles (ST5006); Strings (ST1021); Paint Drips (1009)

Scrapmatts Chipboards: Burnt Cream Scrapwords (CB1238); Butterflies (CB1045)

As you’ve noticed by now, I just love scrapping my daughter’s cheeky photos together…they make creating much more inspirational & fun! The title is from the versatile Burnt Cream Scrap Words set, & the Butterflies chipboards are painted white to suit the page.

I’ve used the beautiful Scrapmatts Leaf Sprays stencil as a resist pattern which really stands out from the vibrant colors.  Of course, I had to add more stenciling on this page.  Did you spot the Circles, Strings, & Paint Drips?

Thanks for looking, & I’ll be back soon for another Scrapmatts creation (it’s gonna be a goodie!).  For more Scrapmatts chipboards & stencils, visit their online shop here.

Zoom – A Fun Layout For Scrapmatts & CSI

Hi there.  I’ve been busy creating with some yummy Scrapmatts chipboards & stencils, & this month we’re guest designing for CSI – Colors, Stories & Inspirations.  I’ve also thoughtfully incorporated some delish Canvas Corp Brands goodies in my page for perfect measure.  I got to work with 2 different CSI case files & today I get to share with you the first one:

For Case File #203, my 3 evidences are dots, clouds & string.  I’ve used all the shades of the color palette & my testimony is the inspiration word “zoom”.  Here’s how I solved the case:

Scrapmatts chipboards: Bubbles (CB5131); Circles (CB5152); Assorted Words (CB6106); Scrap Words (CB1238)

Scrapmatts Stencil: Clouds (ST1030)

I’ve appropriately titled this layout zoom as my youngest daughter literally zooms her way around with her balance bike…no fear whatsoever!  Red for her energy, circles for the bike wheels, & more colors for her fun loving personality.  This page embodies her & her balance bike to a tee.

I’m in love with the new circles chipboard.  Sofie & Andrew are doing a fantastic job creating new chipboard & stencil designs.  I’ve embossed it in different colors to match the green & cantaloupe colors of the case.

How adorable are the clouds? Thanks to the clouds stencil it’s easy to add them to your backgrounds.  The cream color on the scrap words chipboards are lovely & these are great for filling up little spaces in your projects.  The papers I’ve used here are Canvas Corp’s Red & Kraft Mini Dot Reverse Paper & 7 Gypsies Wish You Were Here Paper from the American Vintage collection.

I’ve used a couple of assorted words chipboards, some painted & some embossed.  I’ve also used the off cut to mat the photos…nothing must go to waste.  For the color splashes throughout the page I’ve used Tattered Angels Splash Chalkboard Mist, Teal High Heal Chalkboard Mist & Cross My Heart Glimmer Mist.

I’ve painted the bubbles chipboard in multi color to match the blue, green & yellow shades of the palette using the following Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists: Marigold, Pumpkin Spice, & Chalkboard Mists: Mantis, & Splash.  I love how these bubbles chipboards have dots in them.

That was a fun case solved & thanks for looking.  I’ll be back soon for another Scrapmatts layout in collaboration with a new CSI Case File.  Do check out CSI’s Case File#203 here, among other fun case files to solve.  You can win some of these amazing Scrapmatts chipboards & stencils if you join in (they are one of the major sponsor for this year).  So get creating & load your entry to the CSI website for a chance to win an amazing Scrapmatts prize pack!

Heart You

Good day! I’ve been having a blast teaching at Scrapaholics this month & I’m giving a big & thankful shout out to all the lovely ladies that attended my classes.  Today I get to share with you my blue & gold fun mixed media layout class:

“Heart You”

Heart You

Shiny, shimmery, inky & glittery…we’ve had some messy fun in the class for sure.

Loving all the Green Tara flowers in this layout.  Hopefully they get to supply more of these soon.

My daughter gave me the 2 thumbs up for this layout.  I’m so lucky to have children who adore looking through their scrapbooks (made by their mom of course!).  Just one of the many reasons I thoroughly enjoy this craft, & now I’m on a mission to share it.  I hope you’ve had a great month & thanks for popping in.  Do check out my class at Scrapaholics next month here.  It’ll be a set of 3 cards this time using the beautiful Storyteller range.  Hope to see you there. 🙂
