Summer Santa Cards

Time to share some more fun Christmas cards with Crafters Choice New Traditions collection.  Christmas means summer in our side of the world.  Days by the water, fishing and barbecue with family and friends makes this one of my favourite seasons.

Ruby Rock-It Brands materials

Crafters Choice: New Traditions 12×12 Paper Pad, New Traditions Die Cut Pack, New Traditions Washi Tape

Franchville: Teal Cardstock, Pearl Cardstock, Celebrations Glitter Pack, Forever Blue Glitter Pack

First I trimmed the Teal and Pearl Franchville Cardstock to size.  I then stencilled the front with some texture paste and let this dry flat.

Next I applied some blue Tattered Angels mists to bring out the color of the sea onto the card and let this dry.

From the New Traditions Paper Pad, I trimmed the a couple of the Santa images and framed these onto the red and silver cardstock that came with the same paper pad.

The best thing about Crafters Choice new Christmas collections is that they come with a gorgeous set of  Washi tape.  I could not resist adding a glittery strip of red and silver washi tape on each card.

I then adhered the summer Santas on each card just sitting on top of the glittery strip of washi tape.  I then added some bow strings on top of this strip along with a couple of die cut pieces.

For some last festive touch, I sprinkled some Franchville Glitter at the edges of both cards with a good craft glue and let this dry.

Thanks to the New Traditions collection, you can create awesome summer Christmas cards.  Check out the full range HERE or at a Spotlight store near you.

Sunny Side Up

It’s amazing when you come accros an oldie but a goodie Bo Bunny collection in your craft stash, and suddenly you are inspired to create.  Today I’m sharing a farewell card for a former colleague with the gorgeous Genevieve collection by Bo Bunny.

I just love the color combination of blue, yellow and white paired with classic prints for a striking mix.  This by far is one of my favourite Bo Bunny collection.

I inked the edges of with Ranger’s Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink and foam applicator to match the blue shades.

I then added the flower cluster from 49 & Market and Green Tara flowers.  Last but not the least, some Bo Bunny gold pearlescent drops are added around the circle and voila!

Always look for the sunny side of life whatever it throws at you.  Hope you enjoyed my card as much as I enjoyed creating it.

Cheers,

Rustic Christmas Advent Candy Boxes

I’m excited to share with you my fun Christmas advent calendar in the form of fun candy boxes.  I had so much fun creating this project and I hope you’ll like it as much as I do.

Ruby Rock-It Brands materials: Rustic Christmas Paper Pad, Rustic Christmas Luxury Cardstock Pack, Rustic Christmas Die Cut Pack, New Traditions Luxury Cardstock Pack, Christmas Dreams Luxury Cardstock Pack, New Traditions Card Pack

Other materials: Evergreen Bough Ranger Distress Inkpad, Ranger Applicator, Candybox Die, Heart Punch

First I’ve die cut a variety of papers and luxury cardstock from the Rustic Christmas Paper Pad and Crafter’s Choice range of luxury cardstock.

I then inked the edges of the candy boxes with the Evergreen Bough Distress Inkpad and Ranger applicator, concentrating on the printed papers.

I also applied the same inkpad around the gorgeous die cut pieces from the Rustic Christmas collection, and then adhered these to most of the candy boxes.  There’s heaps of lovely glittered pieces from the Die Cut Pack which gets me into the feeling of the festive season.

Next I stencilled some mediums on the luxury cardstock candy boxes and let them dry.

I then punched some hearts and inked the edges with the same inkpad, and then added some number stickers on each heart for each day of the advent candy boxes.  Lastly these hearts are adhered to the corresponding boxes and now it is ready for my kids to enjoy.

What’s not to like with a fun, festive mantlepiece to enjoy throughout Christmas.  Thanks for popping in and I’ve got more festive creations to share with you soon so stay tuned.  Check out the whole range of Ruby Rock-It Brands HERE or at a Spotlight store near you.

New Traditions – Christmas Joy Card

There’s only just under ten more weeks before Christmas and I have been slowly making some Christmas cards.  I’m excited to share with you my first card for this year’s holiday season, and it was a delight to create with the new Luxury Cardstock range and Christmas collections from Crafters Choice.

Crafters Choice materials: New Traditions A4 Luxury Cardstock Pack, New Traditions Die-Cut Pack, New Traditions Cards & Envelopes

I have used the red card from the New Traditions Card Pack for the base and punched one side of the front of the card.  I then trimmed a Mirror and Matt Card from the gorgeous Luxury Cardstock Pack and punched one side.  These are then layered under the same punched side of the card.

I trimmed a couple more Matt and Mirror card pieces and layered this on top of the card.  I then added some stenciling and mediums on top, and then adhered the joy title from the New Traditions Die-Cut Pack.  I finished the sentiment off by adding a small flower cluster to it.

For a beautiful finish, I trimmed another Mirror card to size and adhered this inside the card.  Last but not the least, I trimmed a small piece of white cardstock and adhered this inside the card which will give me some space to write a message.

Thanks for popping and I hope I got you excited and looking forward to the Christmas season and get creating.  Check out the Ruby Rock-It Brands range HERE or at a Spotlight and a scrapbooking shop near you.

Bella Botanical Bloom

Spring has sprung in New Zealand and the sunnier weather has inspired me to create with Bella’s gorgeous Botanical collection.  I wanted to fill my display with lively colors much like bright spring floral blooms.

Ruby Rock-It materials: Bella Botanical Collection, Fundamentals Alpha Wood Veneers

I was doing a clean up at home and found an odd piece that looked like rubbish, which I decided to keep and tranform into my spring bloom display.

There are so many beautiful flowers, leaves, and butterflies to fussy cut from the Botanical collection which I’ve added to my cluster.

I then painted and misted around the display for a nice bright finish, just how lively spring season makes me feel.  Last but not the least, I added some painted Fundamentals Alpha Wood Veneers for the title.  Gotta love spring blooms!

Thanks for popping and and I hope you enjoyed my bright botanical display.  For more Ruby Rock-It, click HERE.

Some are offering prizes, so make sure to hop on each blog.  Don’t forget share the word about our CCB Fall blog hop.

What I love about Fall is Halloween, and today I’m sharing a Halloween card. I enjoy creating Halloween cards with my Tattered Angels mists and Canvas Corp cardstock, and today I get to share with you my purple card:

Canvas Corp Brands materials:

Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists: Graphite, Periwinkle Bouquet, Vanilla Breeze, Pearl

Tattered Angels Chalkboard Mists: Grape Ape, Black Orchid, Admiral, Chalk

Canvas Corp: Ivory Cardstock, Canvas Fringe

7Gypsies: Architextures – Build Parchment Rub Ons

Other materials: Chipboard, Black Flakes, Bling, Stencil

Shop Canvas Corp Brands HERE.

First I trimmed down the Ivory Cardstock to size and rubbed a couple of images from the Build Parchment Rub-Ons onto the card.  Next I blended the purple Glimmer and Chalboard Mists onto the card.  I then spritzed the other shades of mists onto a stencil to add to the card’s background.

I painted the Grape Ape Chalkboard Mist onto the chipboard and layered this under the alphas with some Canvas Fringe misted with the Admiral Chalkboard Mist.  I found some old spare alphas from Tattered Angels’ retired Irresistable Alphas range, which I have misted with the same Admiral color and then shaded the edges with the Graphite Glimmer Mist.  I finished it off by adding some black flakes and bling and voila!

I hope you enjoyed my little wee purple Halloween card and thanks heaps for taking the time to pop in.  Head along to the whole team’s awesome blogs for more inspiration:
