Pink & Purple Shabby Tags

July is a very exciting month for the Ruby Rock-It Brands team as we get to showcase gorgeous and fun new collections.  Today I have a couple of tags to share with you which features two of Bella’s new collections.

Ruby Rock-It Brands materials: Bella Purple Haze collection, #Selfie Queen collection, Crafters Choice Bling (Adhesive Rhinestone Letters; Iridescent Clear, Iridescent Blue, Iridescent Purple, Iridescent Pink), Fundamentals White Cardstock

Ranger Distress Inkpads: Picked Raspberry, Spun Sugar, Victorian Velvet, Shaded Lilac, Wilted Violet, Seedless Preserves, Ranger Foam Applicators

Other: heart punch, mists, flowers, ribbons

Me and my daughters are bookworms especially my eldest, so I decided to make them some pretty initial tags with some bling.  Crafters Choice have the perfect range of adhesive rhinestone bling that are very easy to apply onto projects.

For my eldest daughter she gets the gorgeous Bella Purple Haze collection with Crafters Choice Clear Iridescent Bling and shabby finish.

For my youngest daughter she gets the fun Bella #Selfie Queen collection with an assortment of Iridescent Pink, Purple, and Blue Crafters Choice Bling.

Both tags have the Fundamentals Cardstodck for a strong and sturdy base for layered papers, inks, and paints.

I have blended the Ranger Distress Inks (see materials list above) onto to tags to match with the colours of each colllection with the Ranger Foam Applicators.

Here’s a quick tip of adding a frosted look to the Rhinestone Letter:

  1. Gather the Crafters Choice Adhesive Rhinestone Letter, a fine paintbrush, and a chalk mist.
  2. On a clean working surface, place the Rhinestone Letter on its original sheet.  Uncap the chalk mist and lightly dip the fine paintbrush, then brush this onto the whole surface of the rhinestone letter.
  3. Add as little or as much chalk mist onto the letter and let this air dry.  Do not apply heat as this will damage the letter.  This now gives the letter a different frosted finish.

I hope you enjoyed looking through the fab new Bella collections and gorgeous range of Crafters Choice bling .  These are all available to purchase on the Ruby Rock-It Brands website HERE or at a Spotlight store near you.

I’ll be back soon for another awesome new collection and thanks for popping in.

Cheers,

Christmas Dreams Card

Hi there.  I’ve got a soft Christmas card to share with you today featuring Crafter’s Choice gorgeous new Christmas Dreams collection paired with my favourite Ranger Distress Inkpad colours.

Crafters Choice materials: Christmas Dreams Collection (6 x 6 Paper Pad, Clear Stamps, Die Cut Pack), Cards & Envelopes Pack

Ranger materials: Distress Inkpads (Cracked Pistachio, Spun Sugar), Sponge Applicators

First I’ve die cut a window in front of the white cardstock and inked the edges with Spun Sugar and Cracked Pistachio Distress Inkpads and applicators.  I then trimmed a sheet from the Christmas Dreams Paper Pad and adhered this under the window.

Next I stamped a sentiment from the Christmas Dreams Clear Stamp Set under the window.  I then added some stencilling on the card and let it set to dry.

I then chose a couple of pretty pieces from the Christmas Dreams Die cut pack and layered them onto the middle of the card.  A few splashes of mists and watercolor are added on top and voila! Christmas dreams card ready to go.

Check out Ruby Rock-It Brands’ full range HERE or at a Spotlight store near you.  Thanks for popping in.

New Traditions – Christmas Joy Card

There’s only just under ten more weeks before Christmas and I have been slowly making some Christmas cards.  I’m excited to share with you my first card for this year’s holiday season, and it was a delight to create with the new Luxury Cardstock range and Christmas collections from Crafters Choice.

Crafters Choice materials: New Traditions A4 Luxury Cardstock Pack, New Traditions Die-Cut Pack, New Traditions Cards & Envelopes

I have used the red card from the New Traditions Card Pack for the base and punched one side of the front of the card.  I then trimmed a Mirror and Matt Card from the gorgeous Luxury Cardstock Pack and punched one side.  These are then layered under the same punched side of the card.

I trimmed a couple more Matt and Mirror card pieces and layered this on top of the card.  I then added some stenciling and mediums on top, and then adhered the joy title from the New Traditions Die-Cut Pack.  I finished the sentiment off by adding a small flower cluster to it.

For a beautiful finish, I trimmed another Mirror card to size and adhered this inside the card.  Last but not the least, I trimmed a small piece of white cardstock and adhered this inside the card which will give me some space to write a message.

Thanks for popping and I hope I got you excited and looking forward to the Christmas season and get creating.  Check out the Ruby Rock-It Brands range HERE or at a Spotlight and a scrapbooking shop near you.
