Rainbow Love

Hi there.  How’s it going? My daughter has started going to school & I’m so happy seeing her enjoying it.  This year has gone by so quickly & before you know it, it’s already Christmas!

Today I’m posting a layout for Scrap Around the World’s super awesome October mood board by Heather Mcmahon:

It is very inspiring & as a lover of rainbow colors, I simply had to join in the fun.  I went outside my comfort zone & used white background instead of patterned paper.  I did not even add any paper layers at all.  Here’s my layout:

My main inspirations are the top left image of colorful burst of ink & the bottom middle image of circles & kaleidoscope of rainbow colors.

Even the black & white photo is die cut round to match my youngest daughter’s round face & cheeks : ).  Surrounding it are a variety of circles in different colors & applications.  Chipboards, beads & colors are layered & it’s all finished off with a cherub resin, camera charm & a few flowers to surround a cute toothy smile.

Thanks so much for popping in & I hope you enjoyed my post today.  There’s heaps more amazing inspiration at Scrap Around the World here, so do check it out.  Have a great day!

Nice To Meet You

Hi there, how’s it going? I’m posting a layout featuring the Oh So Lovely collection for Artfull Crafts today.  I have already mentioned before that it’s a very pretty & ultra feminine collection.  My last Oh So Lovely post has the specialty die cut gloss paper as my base, & today I’ll be showing you my second one which has a plain cardstock instead.

For this page I’ve used 6 different sheets from the paper pad for the background.  I’ve cut them up into a variety of small pieces & lightly layered some gesso on top.

I then added some texture paste with a damask template.  When completely dried, I’ve layered 3 different colors on it: Prima Cotton Candy Color Bloom Spray, Grape Ape Chalkboard Mist & Periwinkle Bouquet Glimmer Mist both by Tattered Angels.

I’ve also added a few die cut pieces from the collectables & paper pad.

The flower cluster is added to the right side of the photo which consist of the following delicious flowers: Zva Pink Graceful Roses, Jasmine Paper Flower, Kaisercraft Sea Breeze Paper Blooms & Prima Marketing flowers.

More touches were added to the background with Kaisercraft texture stamp & The Crafter’s workshop stencil with some dark purple ink.

It’s all finished off with alpha stickers for the title, green pearls, a dragonfly chipboard & some journaling.  I don’t have the best handwriting in the world but I really wanted to document the story behind this gorgeous photo.

This is the second time I’ve used purple on my layouts & I’m very pleased how it turned out. This color gave this layout an extra lift & it goes so well altogether.  I’m not scared of purple anymore…woohoo! Do check out the Oh So Lovely collection here.  Thanks for taking the time to drop in & enjoy your week. 🙂

Hi there, thanks for dropping by my blog.  There’s a light rain today & it’s quite a nice bit of relief from the hot summer days we’ve been having the past days.  Perfect weather for getting crafty, so I created a card for a friend’s 60th birthday.  The big 60…hence why I made this card extra special.  I’m entering it for Cardabilities sketch#115:

I’ve rotated the sketch:

I’m also entering this card for Berry71Bleu‘s lovely January challenge: “Things With Wings”.  Here’s my entry:

I hope she likes it as much as I do, as much as I enjoyed creating it.  Enjoy your weekend!
