Box of Fun – Bella Nursery

I’ve been getting my fingers inky with my new baby layout featuring Bella’s new adorable Nursery collection with Ranger’s Distress Inkpads.  I always enjoy scrapping baby photos as it always takes me back to my childrens’ memories.

Bella materials: Nursery Collection, Bolt Florals, Bolt Chipboard Buttons, Gold Corrugated Cardstock, Fundamentals Alpha Wood Veneers

Ranger Distress Inkpads: Evergreen Bough, Antique Linen, Brushed Corduroy, Gathered Twigs, Weathered Wood

Other: Ranger Foam Applicator, White Cardstock, Mists, Stencils, Mediums

First I layered and stencilled my sunshine yellow mists on a white cardstock and let it set.  I then added some mediums and combined the different shades of Distress Ink on the page for depth and color.

I then framed my daughter’s photo with Bella’s Gold Corrugated Cardstock.  I love the shine and dimension of this versatile specialty cardstock.  The picture is then surrounded with some pretty golden florals from the Bolt collection.

Next I punched and fussy cut some sentiment and cute images from Bella’s Nursery paper collection, inking the edges with the Distress Ink.  I then adhered these around the page along with a gold foiled Bolt Chipboard Button.  It’s finished off with some more inking and stamping the title on the bottom of the page using the Fundamentals Alpha Wood Veneers.

I had so much fun getting creative with my daughter’s baby photo.  It’s so funny how she’s got all the toys in the world and the most fun she’s had is playing in, on, and around empty boxes.  Funny that, eh?

Think Pink Tags

My daughter’s birthday is coming up soon and we have been busy shopping for her loot bag goodies to give away.  We’ve decided to make our own tags to go with each loot bag with the help of Fundamentals’ tags, stamps, and Ranger’s Distress Inkpads.

Fundamentals materials: White Tag Pack, Sentiments Stamp Set

Ranger Distress Inkpads: Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick, Picked Raspberry

I punched some hearts from a scrap piece of white cardstock and generously applied the Spun Sugar inkpad all over the hearts.  I then inked the Picked Raspberry to the edges of the hearts and tags with Ranger’s sponge applicator.

I stencilled the Worn Lipstick shade to the tag and then adhered a pretty pink inked heart on each tag.  Lastly, I stamped the Fundamentals thank you sentiment on each heart and tied a white satin ribbon through the top hole of each tag.  Pretty pink tags done, fun and so easy to do.

This is definitely the special touch each loot bag needed.  Hope you’ve been inspired and you can check out all the Fundamentals range HERE, or at a Spotlight store near you.

Cheers,

Go! Sports Album

Hi there! It’s time to share another fun new Bella paper collection which I have transformed into a mini sports album.  Here’s the awesome Doodles collection, hot off the press:

Bella materials: Doodles Paper Collection, Corrugated Cardboard (Pink, Silver, Blue, Black)

Fundamentals materials: White Cardstock, Candy Red Cardstock, Stars and Hearts Wood Veneers

Lots of painting and inky fun happened on every page page of this sporty mini album, with the help of Ranger’s Distress Inkpads and Foam Applicators:

Ranger Distress Inkpads: Candied Apple, Mermaid Lagoon, Foam Applicators

I started by trimming some white cardstock for the album base and then layered different prints for each page from Bella’s fun Doodles collection.

I’ve then die cut different shapes and words from my old collection of dies with Bella’s Corrugated Cardstock and added these to the pages.  I just love using my stash, dusting off old goodies and putting them to use.

I then added the 6 x 4 photos on the pages, with the exception of 1 photo which I trimmed down smaller.  Most of them are framed with Fundamentals’ White Cardstock.

I then applied some Candied Apple and Mermaid Lagoon Distress Inkpad shades on the pages.  I did this by squeezing the inkpads onto my craft mat and then spritzing some water onto it.

For more color saturation, simply wet your brush a little and dip this onto the inkpad and apply it where desired.  You can also use the Ranger Foam Applicator for direct color application.

Use the excess wet color on the craft mat for splattering, my favourite step of all for no wastage.

The last photo of my daughter dear and her lovely friends is framed with Fundamentals’ Candy Red Cardstock.  I just love the extra pop of color it gives.

I stamped the Fundamentals’ Hearts Wood Veneers around the photo with the Candied Apple Distress Inkpad.  These are so cute and versatile, and I couldn’t resist stamping with them.

My daughter had a blast with her first Weetbix Tryathlon and it is definitely not her last one.  She told me her favourite leg was the cycling, and I reckon she did an awesome job throughout.  I am so proud of her…you go my growing girl!

Thanks for popping in and I hope I’ve inspired you to create with Bella’s Doodle collection.  These are available to purchase at a Spotlight store near you and can soon be purchased on the Ruby Rock-It Brands website HERE.

Cheers,

The Best Day Ever

I’ve got a fun layout with a good mix of Bella collections to share today.  One of the main reasons I enjoy scrapping with Bella papers is that they are versatile and so easy to mix and match.  I also added touches of Ranger’s Distress Inkpads throughout the page to bring it altogether.

Bella materials: True Romantic Wave Paper, True Romantic Lovehearts Paper, True Romantic Ribbon Paper, Raw & Rustic I Do Paper, Memories Mini Theme Memory Lane Paper, White Bella Florals, Gold Spiral Flourish Bling

Fundamentals materials: Butterfly embellishment

Ranger Distress Inkpads:  Lime Citron, Walnut Stain, Antique Linen

Other: Ranger Foam Applicator

I’ve layered some strips of the True Romantic Ribbon Paper on the Wave Paper.  I then lightly added some gesso and paint on the page.

Next, I layered the Lovehearts paper and some scraps behind the photo.  I then built a cluster of White Bella Florals on the corner of the photo.

I’ve fussy cut some words/letters from the Raw & Rustic I Do paper and added this at the bottom of the page for a fun title.

A Bella page is not complete without some Bella Bling, and I love the golden touches of the Spiral Flourish Bling.  A couple of fluttering Fundamentals Butterfly Embellishments and some ink application of Ranger’s Lime Citron, Antique Linen, and Walnut Stain Distress Inkpads are then added.

Thanks for popping in and I hope you enjoyed my purple and green page as much as I enjoyed creating it.  Check out Bella’s range HERE and Ranger’s Distress Inkpad Sets are available at a Spotlight store near you.

His & Hers Christmas Cards

We’re already halfway through December and I’m definitely excited with the Christmas spirit going around.  Today’s glittery share is a masculine and a feminine Christmas card using Franchville’s cardstock and glitter set.  Let’s start with the masculine card.

Christine Santos

Franchville materials: Neutrals Cardstock Pack, Jewel Glitter Set

Bella materials: Distressing Tool

I stencilled some trees on the black cardstock and generously sprinkled some green glitter from the metallics glitter pack.

I added some crackle around the card for some texture.  I then adhered the chipboard sentiment on the card and sprinkled some more green glitter on top of it.

I then distressed the edges of the card with Bella’s distressing tool and finished it off with some misting on top.

Next up is a feminine Christmas card.

Christine Santos

Franchville materials: Brights Cardstock Pack, Jewel Glitter Pack

Bella materials: Chandelier Bling

First I stencilled on top of the cardstock to achieve a snowy background and snowflake look.  I then adhered the chandelier bling on the card, closer to the left side.

I stencilled the sentiment on top of the card and sprinkled some silver glitter, also spreading some more glitter around the card.  I finished it all of with layering of mists and voila!  I’m really pleased how these black and purple Christmas cards turned out.

Thanks for popping in and all Francville and Bella products are available to purchase at Spotlight stores near you.  Have an awesome holiday season ahead and I hope you’ve enjoyed my Ruby Rock-It creations throughout 2017.  I’ll see you again for more Ruby Rock-It inspiration next year.

Stained Love Card

It’s time to share another Ranger Distress Ink creation alongside Ruby Rock-It Brands, and I’m excited to share with you my stained card using brown Distress color palette together with Franchville Basic Cardstock.

Ruby Rock-It materials: Franchville Basic Card Set, Faded Empire Clear Stamp Set, Bella Fabric Trim, Fundamentals Alpha Wood Veneer, Fundamentals Bitty Bows

Ranger Distress Inkpads: Vintage Photo, Antique Linen, Walnut Stain

I used 2 Kraft cardstocks from the Franchville Basic Card and Envelope Set.  One is for the base of the card, and the other punched into strips and layered on top of each other using my trusty Martha Stewart border punch.  I then blended the Antique Linen and Vintage Photo Distress Inkpads with the Ranger Applicator on the edges of the lacy borders.

I stamped the gorgeous bird banner from the Faded Empire clear stamp set twice for a subtle shadow effect, using the Walnut Stain Distress Inkpad.  I then added the Love sentiment on top of this stamped image by stamping the Fundamentals Alpha Wood Veneer with the same inkpad.

I then roughly cut some Bella Fabric Trim into smaller strips and shaded them with the Antique Linen and Walnut Stain inkpads.  I did the same process with the Fundamentals Bitty Bow, giving it a lighter application.

Some more blending of the Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain inkpads are added around the card for definition, and it’s all done.  I just love the distress stained look on kraft, with a pretty bitty bow on top.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed my stained love kraft card.  You can purchase Ruby Rock-It Brands and Ranger’s Distress Inkpad range at a Spotlight store near you.

Cheers,

Fly, Be Fearless

Ruby Rock-It Brands and Ranger have teamed up to share some creative projects for the next couple of months.  Ranger has brought out a line of Mini Distress Ink Pad Sets, and today I’m sharing a mixed media layout with the Rusty Hinge, Victorian Velvet, Broken China, and Gathered Twigs set with the Mini Ink Blending Applicators.

I started with a plain white cardstock and came up with a fun, grungy, and rusty mixed media page, featuring my youngest daughter.  Check her out…she always encourages me to fly, spread my wings, and be fearless!

“Fly, Be Fearless”

Ruby Rock-It Brands materials: Borderlines Bling, Blue Butterflies Bling, Gold Florals, Blue Florals, Pink Corrugated Cardstock, Raw & Rustic Clear Stamp Set, Faded Empire Clear Stamp Set, Bolt Clear Stamp Set, White Lettering On Kraft Alpha Sticker Set, Gelato Butterflies

First, I applied the Broken China and Gathered Twigs through some Scrapmatts Hexagon Stencil with the Ink Blending Applicator around the photo.  I then added some stamping with the Victorian Velvet, Rusty Hinge, and Gathered Twigs around the page.

The versatile Bella Borderlines Bling are then added for touches of texture and Bling around the page.  Some more texture has been added on top of these and some splattering of the Broken China and Gathered Twigs Distress Ink.

A cluster of Gold and Blue Bella Florals are then added beside the photo, along with some Fundamentals Gelato Butterflies and Kraft Alpha Stickers.  I also used these Alpha Stickers as a stencil, inked with the Victorian Velvet using the Ink Blending Tool/Applicator.  The Scrapmatts Hexagon Chipboards are inked with the Rusty Hinge.

The edges of the page are then inked with Victorian Velvet, Rusty Hinge, and Gathered Twigs using the Ink Blending Tool.  It’s finished off with the addition of drops, gold glitter, and a Blue Bella Butterfly Bling.

This layout is inspired by More Than Words’ September Fearless & Grunge Challenge:

Oh how fun it was to create this fearless rusty grungy page! Thanks for popping in and I’ll be back for more Ranger Distress Ink-spiration soon.

Cheers,
