Flight of Fancy Mixed Media Canvas

Hello everyone.  How was your long Easter weekend? Today I’m excited to share with you a colorful canvas featuring a mix of Bella Florals and Bling, with a mixed media twist.  See if you can spot all of them:

“Flight Of Fancy”

Bella materials: White Bella Florals, Floral Bling, Accent Flourish Bling, Spiral Flourish Bling, Silver Glitter Paper, Green Glitter Paper

Fundamentals materials: Birds Decoupage Set

Ruby Rock-It materials: Purple Glitter

I’ve used a hexagon canvas as the base of this project.  I then layered my mediums on top, adding different colors around the canvas.

I then layered some super gorgeous Bella Bling around the Fundamentals Bird Papertole.  The new Bling designs are divine and I just can’t get enough adding these beauties on my creations.

I punched some shapes from a couple of Bella Glittered Cardstock and surrounded them on the canvas.

For added glitz, I sprinkled some Purple Ruby Rock-It Glitter to match the color of the canvas.  Some splatters are added throughout for the final finishing touch.

So there’s my canvas.  I had a blast creating it and I hope you enjoyed my post today.  Check out the Ruby Rock-It shop HERE, you’ll find all the supplies you’ll need for all types of paper craft and beading.

Thanks for popping in.

Glittery Ladybird Invitations

Today I’m sharing a set of super fun ladybird invitations for my daughter’s birthday.  She’s currently obsessed with all things ladybird and she loves how her invitations turned out.  Here’s a few that I made:

I got two thumbs up from my daughter for putting four spots on each ladybird because she’s turning four.  You should’ve seen my daughters in my little card making production line when we were creating these little cuties.  So much fun!

Fundamentals materials: Black Cardstock, Bitty Bows, Sentiment Toppers, White Circle Tags

Bella materials: Raspberry Glittered Cardstock, White Glittered Cardstock, Black Floral Strips Bling

I’ve die cut different sized circles from the Black Fundamentals Cardstock for the base, head, and spots of the invitations.  My daughters are the ones who adhered all the spots on top of the ladybirds, thanks to my Xyron sticker maker it was fun and easy.  They did an awesome job and were very good helpers indeed.

I punched some teeny tiny stars from the White Glittered Cardstock and Black Cardstock and adhered them in front and inside of the invitations.  The wings are fastened a little loose with a couple of red brads so they can flap open.  It’s all finished off by adding some Black Floral Strips Bling, Bitty Bows, and Sentiment Toppers on top.

Thanks for popping in and I hope you’ve enjoyed my post today.  Check out more Bella and Fundamentals goodies here.

Floral Monthly Planner

Planners are the craze at the moment and today I get to share with you my take on a monthly planner, Bella style.  A head’s up, this post is loaded with photos which takes you through the pages of the planner.  Let’s start off with the cover:

Bella Materials: White Florals, Purple Antique Floral Bling, True Romantic Collection, A Year In Review Cardstock Sticker Sheet, Pink Corrugated Cardboard

The body of the planner is composed of Fundamentals’ gorgeous new Cardstock colors and range.

Fundamentals Materials: Rose Cardstock, Serenity Blue Cardstock, Doilies

Inside the pages are beautiful papers from Bella’s True Romantic collection.

One of the reasons I love creating mini albums/planners/books is that I get to use up a variety of pretty papers all in one project.

The lined papers came from an old notebook, and I simply added them to the pages which suited the planner perfectly.

The Fundamentals cardstock are already folded and scored which made it quicker and easier to create the whole planner.  Just trim them down to your preferred size and voila!

I love how the Cardstock colors are made to match Bella and Ruby Rock-It’s collections, and how versatile they are so it goes beyond card making.

The months are from Bella’s Year In Review Cardstock Sticker Sheet, backed with Bella’s Pink Corrugated Cardboard.

If you haven’t got your hands on these gorgeous True Romantic papers yet, then I suggest you do.  Can’t go wrong with the mixture of florals and watercolor motif altogether.  Check out the different Bella/Ruby Rock-It retailers here.

Just a few more pages to go…

The cover of the planner is prettied up with a couple of White Bella Florals and some bedazzling Purple Antique Floral Bella Blings.  In between these is a Doily from Fundamentals’ new embellishment range.

Some light denim tie from my stash has been added at the left side of the planner.  It ties in beautifully with the shade of the Serenity Blue Cardstock.  It’s one of my favourite Fundamentals Cardstock color at the moment.

I hope you enjoyed looking through my floral monthly planner, Bella style of course.  Check out all the Bella and Fundamentals range here.

Spring Gardening – Scrapbooking Meets Decoupage

Ruby Rock It Inspiration Banner

Today I’m sharing a Spring layout featuring Bella’s gorgeous True Romantic Collection matched with Fundamentals’ Decoupage.  Let’s have a look at my Spring Gardening layout:

Spring GardeningChristine Santos

Bella materials: True Romantic Papers (Garland, Bouquet, Lovehearts, Ribbon); Bella Florals; Bella Bling (Fancy Flourish, Accent Flourish, Spiral Flourish); Cream Heart Stickers

Fundamentals materials: Birds Decoupage Pack; Font Wood Veneers; A4 Vellum

I’m in love with Bella’s new designs of Bling, and in this layout I really wanted to show them off alongside the photo.  The beautiful birds and oval words came from Fundamentals’ A4 Decoupage Pack.  These sets are versatile and are not just limited to card making.

The purple watercolor drips on the Lovehearts Paper matches the purple floral print of the Ribbon Paper.  As you can see, a Bella layout is not complete without some Bella Florals.

The Fundamentals Wood Veneers are great subtitles/sentiments for any projects.  It’s finished off with the addition of some Bella Cream Heart Stickers.

My girls were very helpful and sure had fun helping with sprucing up our vegetable patches, getting ready for next season’s harvest.  Spring gardening with love it was indeed.

I had fun creating with Bella’s gorgeous True Romantic Collection, new Bling designs, and florals, along with  Fundamentals’ Decoupage to match.  Thanks for looking and I hope you enjoyed my post today.

Make A Wish Birthday Card

Ruby Rock It Inspiration Banner

This month has been very busy for our family party-wise as friends and family seem to be celebrating a birthday party after another.  This got me creating birthday cards, and today I get to share with you one of them featuring Fundamentals’ new colors and goodies.

Christine Santos

Fundamentals Materials: Shamrock Cardstock, Buttercup Cardstock, True Blue Cardstock, Doilies, Sentiment Toppers, Bitty Bows, Birthday Sentiment Stickers

Ruby Rock-It Materials: Oriental Chic Florals, Happy Days Droplets

This birthday card is made especially for a little girl who is not into girly colors like pinks and purples.  It certainly was a good excuse to create a fun birthday girl’s card with Fundamentals’ bright new range.  I’ve die cut the colorful cardstock with my nesting banner die cuts which added fun layers on top of the card.

I’ve layered the doilies behind the pretty floral, keeping to the green, yellow and blue colors of the card.  It gave the same festive and fun look of rosettes without the bulk, plus you get the intricate and delicate cut around the doilies.  These are then surrounded with some Happy Days Droplets to finish off the card.

And there’s another birthday card done and dusted.  Thanks for popping in and don’t forget to check out all the Fundamentals range here.

Eat Cake – A Candy Red Heart Card

Ruby Rock It Inspiration Banner

February is all about the month of hearts, and this got me inspired to create a heart shaped card for a birthday girl.  I’ve incorporated Fundamentals‘ new cardstock colors, bitty bows, doilies and sentiment toppers with Ruby Rock-It’s Bolt collection.

Eat CakeChristine Santos

I’ve die cut the gorgeous Candy Red Fundamentals Cardstock with my nesting heart dies.  I then layered the Bolt Patterns Paper to balance with the bright colors.

A tip with Fundamentals’ Doilies: Simply cut them into smaller pieces and use them as layering elements to your projects.  If you look closely, I’ve snuck these little beauties in between the heart layers.

I’ve fussy cut a couple of pretty pink and peach flowers from the Bolt Floral Paper.  The card is finished off with a couple of adorable Fundamentals Bitty Bows, Sentiment Topper, Mini Peg, Butterfly, and Bella’s Small Flourish Bling.

Now this sweet little card is ready to give to the sweet birthday girl.  Thanks for popping in and check out all the new Fundamentals range and colors here, along with Ruby Rock-It’s Bolt collection here.

Texture All ‘Round – A Wintery Hello Card

Seeing all my friends from the other side of the world having fun in the snow makes me dream of snowy landscapes and cozing up by the bonfire.  All this thinking got me inspired to create a wintery card with Fundamentals’ Cardstock and Bella’s  New York collection.

Wintery Hello CardChristine Santos

Bella materials: Join Together (New York) Paper, White Floral Fabric with Bling, Bella Florals, Silver Fabric Trim, Small Borderlines Bling, Fireworks Bling

Fundamentals materials: White Cardstock, Banners & Bubbles Wood Veneers

I’ve trimmed and layered the White Fundamentals Cardstock for my sturdy card base which is perfect for mixed media.  I then layered the gorgeous geometrical print of the Join Together from the New York collection.

Bella Florals adorn the center of the card, and on top is the Bubble Wood Veneer.  These are then surrounded with beautiful Bella Bling and Fabric.

A quick tip with Bella Bling: have fun layering your bling on top of each other for a different look.  This is my favourite tip when it comes to creating Bella projects, and I love the result every time.

Thanks for dropping by and I hope I’ve inspired you to create with Bella Bling and Florals.  For more Bella and Fundamentals, click here.
