Dad’s Day Distress Card

There’s only three weeks to go until we celebrate the special fathers in our lives.  My family love this time of the year as we honor dad, and what better way to express this by creating a Father’s Day card.

Materials: Franchville Neutrals Cardstock, Family Man Collection

Ranger Distress Inkpads: Mowed Lawn, Gathered Twigs, Aged Mahogany, Hickory Smoke, Old Paper, Walnut Stain, Chipped Sapphire

Other: Ranger Sponge Applicators

I started with the white cardstock from the Franchville Neutrals Cardstock set and then blended different shades of Ranger’s Distress Inkpad sets with the sponge applicator to achieve a layered grungy depth to my masculine card.

I then fussy cut some image and letters from Bella’s awesome Family Man paper collection and added this on the card, perfect for dad’s day.  I finished it all off with some stamping and more distress ink application around the card…so much fun!

Don’t forget to create something special for dad’s day.  I hope you enjoyed today’s post and you can check out more of Ruby Rock-It Brands HERE.  These are also available to purchase along with the Ranger Distress Inkpad range at a Spotlight store near you.

Thanks for popping in!

A French Country Card For Nan

It’s time for a card share today with Bella’s beautiful new French Country paper collection.  Mother’s day is not too far away and I cannot miss out on creating a special card for a special woman.

Bella Materials: French Country Collection, Mini Florals

Fundamentals Materials: Kraft Cardstock, White Mini Peg, Sentiment Pack

The Fundamentals Kraft Cardstock is the perfect sturdy base for this earty French Country card.  I layered the woodgrain and hay print papers on top of the card, and then built the cluster on top left which include the pretty Bella Mini Florals and punched shapes from the paper collection.  How cute is the little chick?

The card is finished with a Fundamentals Sentiment and White Peg, and some touches of inks and mists on top.

Thanks for popping in and I hope you enjoyed my card share today.  Remember to spoil and create something special to all the amazing mom/s in your life.

Magic & Wonder

It’s time for a scrapbook page share today with one of Bella’s new Mini Theme paper collection that is Magic & Wonder.  It is a girly paper collection which has fun unicorns with pretty pink papers and more.

Bella materials: Magic & Wonder Papers (Cut-Outs, Stripes, Gem), White Bella Florals

I chose to showcase the photo in sepia which looks great against the pink papers and inky background, with Ranger’s Distress Inkpad range.

Ranger Distress Inkpads: Picked Raspberry, Gathered Twigs, Vintage Photo, Walnut Stain, Foam Applicators

I’ve punched and fussy cut some pieces and fun images from the Gem and Cut-Outs papers.  The hardest part was choosing which side of each paper to use.

I’ve shaded and stencilled the background, blending the different shades of Distress Inkpads with the help of the Ranger Foam Applicator.  A cluster of pretty Bella Florals adorn the page to finish it all off.

I cannot wait to add this page to my scrapbook collection.  Thanks for popping in and I hope you enjoyed my post today as much as I enjoyed creating it.

Homemade Bake Book

Are you ready for another awesome new Bella paper collection? Today I’m showing off Grandma’s Kitchen collection, fun and vintage altogether in true Ruby Rock-It Brands style.

Bella materials: Grandma’s Kitchen Papers (Cut-outs, Floral, Recipes), Black Fundamentals Mini Peg

Other: Walnut Stain Ranger Distress Inkpad, Ranger Foam Applicator

I’ve used the Floral paper for the base of my mini baking recipe book.

I’ve used some Sizzix dies to cut the base and layers, and then inked the edges with Ranger’s Walnut Stain Distress Inkpad and Foam Applicator.

I trimmed all the recipes from the Recipes paper that came with this collection.  Isn’t that cool?

I mix and matched all the plaid, floral, and polka dot prints of the papers so that it shows through all the layers, nooks and crannies of this mini recipe book.

I’ve fussy cut some tags, words, and images from the Cut-Outs paper and layered these throughout.  Add a cute Fudamentals Mini Peg inside and some string to secure the book and voila!

Thanks for popping in and I hope you enjoyed today’s baking recipe book.  Check out all the awesome Bella paper collections HERE, and they are also available to purchase at a Spotlight store near you.

Coast Wishing Well

March is a busy wedding season in New Zealand and my partner and myself will be tying the knot on the last day of this month.  We are so blessed and super excited to spend this special day together with our family and close friends.

Speaking of weddings, today I’m sharing a a special piece I created for the day which includes one of Bella’s new paper collection.

Bella materials: Coast Paper Collection, Cream Heart Stickers, White Glitz Cardstock, Bronze Glitz Cardstock, Borderlines Bling

If you buy beers from the supermarket then this must seem familiar to you.  I recycled a beer box and transformed it into our very own wishing well.  I shopped around for one but had no luck in finding anything that I fancy.  Hence, I made one for myself and I love how it turned out.  It also has a big tick of approval from my my family and friends.

I adhered the textured ropes and stones papers from Bella’s Coast collection around the box.  As soon as I saw these papers, I knew they would go perfectly with our outdoor wedding by the lake and it gave our wishing well a unique and special look.

I then painted the exposed sides and edges to cover the print of the beer box.

I then added some stenciling on top and the front of the box for some texture.

Some strips of Bella Bling are adhered around the opening on the top.

A cluster of flowers are added on top to match the natural and organic look of the wishing well.  I also added a couple of die cut leaves with Bella’s beautiful Bronze Glittered Cardstock on the cluster.

I then punched a border strip from Bella’s White Glittered Cardstock with my Martha Stewart punch and layered this around our name.  It’s all finished off by adding a few gorgeous Bella Cream Heart Stickers.

After eight and a half years and two kids, it is finally happening.  Good things do take time.

I hope you enjoyed today’s Coast Wedding Box post.  These goodies are available to purchase at a Spotlight store near you, and the Ruby Rock-It Brands website HERE.

Go! Sports Album

Hi there! It’s time to share another fun new Bella paper collection which I have transformed into a mini sports album.  Here’s the awesome Doodles collection, hot off the press:

Bella materials: Doodles Paper Collection, Corrugated Cardboard (Pink, Silver, Blue, Black)

Fundamentals materials: White Cardstock, Candy Red Cardstock, Stars and Hearts Wood Veneers

Lots of painting and inky fun happened on every page page of this sporty mini album, with the help of Ranger’s Distress Inkpads and Foam Applicators:

Ranger Distress Inkpads: Candied Apple, Mermaid Lagoon, Foam Applicators

I started by trimming some white cardstock for the album base and then layered different prints for each page from Bella’s fun Doodles collection.

I’ve then die cut different shapes and words from my old collection of dies with Bella’s Corrugated Cardstock and added these to the pages.  I just love using my stash, dusting off old goodies and putting them to use.

I then added the 6 x 4 photos on the pages, with the exception of 1 photo which I trimmed down smaller.  Most of them are framed with Fundamentals’ White Cardstock.

I then applied some Candied Apple and Mermaid Lagoon Distress Inkpad shades on the pages.  I did this by squeezing the inkpads onto my craft mat and then spritzing some water onto it.

For more color saturation, simply wet your brush a little and dip this onto the inkpad and apply it where desired.  You can also use the Ranger Foam Applicator for direct color application.

Use the excess wet color on the craft mat for splattering, my favourite step of all for no wastage.

The last photo of my daughter dear and her lovely friends is framed with Fundamentals’ Candy Red Cardstock.  I just love the extra pop of color it gives.

I stamped the Fundamentals’ Hearts Wood Veneers around the photo with the Candied Apple Distress Inkpad.  These are so cute and versatile, and I couldn’t resist stamping with them.

My daughter had a blast with her first Weetbix Tryathlon and it is definitely not her last one.  She told me her favourite leg was the cycling, and I reckon she did an awesome job throughout.  I am so proud of her…you go my growing girl!

Thanks for popping in and I hope I’ve inspired you to create with Bella’s Doodle collection.  These are available to purchase at a Spotlight store near you and can soon be purchased on the Ruby Rock-It Brands website HERE.

Cheers,

Bella Botanica

February is a very exciting month here at the Ruby Rock-It Brands quarter as we get to share with you beautiful new paper collections.  Today I get to share with you an off the page display stand featuring the lush Botanica collection.

Bella materials: Botanica Papers, Black Floral Strips Bling, White Glitz Cardstock

Other materials: Franchville Jewel Tones Glitter, Twisted Citron and Black Soot Ranger Distress Inkpads

I’ve fussy cut some gorgeous images from the Botanica papers and layered onto the stand.

Green and black inky touches are from Ranger’s Twisted Citron and Black Soot Distress Inkpads.

I added touches of pretty Bella Bling at the bottom of the stand, which I have painted and layered with mediums to match the Botanica motif.

I sprinkled some green glitter from Franchville’s Jewel Tones Glitter Pack on the bottom of the stand as I’m letting the medium dry for a sugary glittery finish.

I added a couple of punched borders with Bella’s White Glittered Cardstock for a little extra sparkle.  The photo background also happens to be one of the yummy papers from the Botanica collection.

That is just one of the new Bella paper collection and I cannot wait to show more off in the next few weeks with you.  I’ll be back with something entirely different and exciting soon.

Check out all Bella goodies HERE.  Thanks for popping in.

Cheers,
