Think Pink Panel

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and this has inspired me to create a pink project with Ruby Rock It’s fab Bolt collection and Ranger’s Distress Inkpads.

Ruby Rock-It Materials: Bolt Papers (Patterns, Floral, Myriad); Clear Stamp Set, Chipboard Buttons

Ranger Distress Inkpads: Picked Raspberry, Spun Sugar, Weathered Wood, Hickory Smoke

I connected 3 wooden panels together and then added a lick of white paint.  Once dry, I the then added some strips of Pattern Paper on the panels.

I added some stitch stamping on the painted wooden panels with the versatile Bolt Clear Stamp Set.  I then applied and blended Ranger’s Distress Inkpads Picked Raspberry, Spun Sugar, and Weathered Wood with a Foam Applicator on the panels.

I’ve fussy cut some strips from the Myriad paper and layered these on top of the Pattern Paper.  I then  fussy cut some pretty flowers from the Floral Paper and added these to the cluster amongst a couple of Bolt Chipboard Buttons.

So there’s my Think Pink Panel Display.  It’s now ready to be displayed in a sewing/quilting room for an extra touch of pretty!  Will this month’s Breast Cancer Awareness month inspire you?  I sure did.

Check out the full range of Ruby Rock-It’s Bolt collection HERE.  All Ranger Mini Distress Inkpad Sets, Applicators and Accessories are available to purchase at a store near you.

Cheers,

Stained Love Card

It’s time to share another Ranger Distress Ink creation alongside Ruby Rock-It Brands, and I’m excited to share with you my stained card using brown Distress color palette together with Franchville Basic Cardstock.

Ruby Rock-It materials: Franchville Basic Card Set, Faded Empire Clear Stamp Set, Bella Fabric Trim, Fundamentals Alpha Wood Veneer, Fundamentals Bitty Bows

Ranger Distress Inkpads: Vintage Photo, Antique Linen, Walnut Stain

I used 2 Kraft cardstocks from the Franchville Basic Card and Envelope Set.  One is for the base of the card, and the other punched into strips and layered on top of each other using my trusty Martha Stewart border punch.  I then blended the Antique Linen and Vintage Photo Distress Inkpads with the Ranger Applicator on the edges of the lacy borders.

I stamped the gorgeous bird banner from the Faded Empire clear stamp set twice for a subtle shadow effect, using the Walnut Stain Distress Inkpad.  I then added the Love sentiment on top of this stamped image by stamping the Fundamentals Alpha Wood Veneer with the same inkpad.

I then roughly cut some Bella Fabric Trim into smaller strips and shaded them with the Antique Linen and Walnut Stain inkpads.  I did the same process with the Fundamentals Bitty Bow, giving it a lighter application.

Some more blending of the Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain inkpads are added around the card for definition, and it’s all done.  I just love the distress stained look on kraft, with a pretty bitty bow on top.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed my stained love kraft card.  You can purchase Ruby Rock-It Brands and Ranger’s Distress Inkpad range at a Spotlight store near you.

Cheers,

Fly, Be Fearless

Ruby Rock-It Brands and Ranger have teamed up to share some creative projects for the next couple of months.  Ranger has brought out a line of Mini Distress Ink Pad Sets, and today I’m sharing a mixed media layout with the Rusty Hinge, Victorian Velvet, Broken China, and Gathered Twigs set with the Mini Ink Blending Applicators.

I started with a plain white cardstock and came up with a fun, grungy, and rusty mixed media page, featuring my youngest daughter.  Check her out…she always encourages me to fly, spread my wings, and be fearless!

“Fly, Be Fearless”

Ruby Rock-It Brands materials: Borderlines Bling, Blue Butterflies Bling, Gold Florals, Blue Florals, Pink Corrugated Cardstock, Raw & Rustic Clear Stamp Set, Faded Empire Clear Stamp Set, Bolt Clear Stamp Set, White Lettering On Kraft Alpha Sticker Set, Gelato Butterflies

First, I applied the Broken China and Gathered Twigs through some Scrapmatts Hexagon Stencil with the Ink Blending Applicator around the photo.  I then added some stamping with the Victorian Velvet, Rusty Hinge, and Gathered Twigs around the page.

The versatile Bella Borderlines Bling are then added for touches of texture and Bling around the page.  Some more texture has been added on top of these and some splattering of the Broken China and Gathered Twigs Distress Ink.

A cluster of Gold and Blue Bella Florals are then added beside the photo, along with some Fundamentals Gelato Butterflies and Kraft Alpha Stickers.  I also used these Alpha Stickers as a stencil, inked with the Victorian Velvet using the Ink Blending Tool/Applicator.  The Scrapmatts Hexagon Chipboards are inked with the Rusty Hinge.

The edges of the page are then inked with Victorian Velvet, Rusty Hinge, and Gathered Twigs using the Ink Blending Tool.  It’s finished off with the addition of drops, gold glitter, and a Blue Bella Butterfly Bling.

This layout is inspired by More Than Words’ September Fearless & Grunge Challenge:

Oh how fun it was to create this fearless rusty grungy page! Thanks for popping in and I’ll be back for more Ranger Distress Ink-spiration soon.

Cheers,

Proud Mom

Hi there.  Today I’m sharing a layout which is very special to me, and it is also inspired by More Than Words’ May Challenge “Mother & Flowers”:

And Scrap The Girls’ May Mothers Challenge:

This layout shows how very proud I am to be a mom to my two gorgeous girls.  I cannot imagine life without my angels, and how very blessed we are to have our family.

“Proud Mom”

Of course I added lots of flowers inspired by this month’s challenge.  I also love the quote: “A flower cannot blossom without sunshine and man cannot live without love”.  Having each other gives us love and sunshine, and blossom as a family.  Also, if you look closely I added some Pohutukawa flower die cuts, representing home.

I used my Scrapmatts goodies for the stencil and chipboards.

Scrapmatts chipboards: Floral Spray (CB5052), Black Scrap Words 05 (CB1197), Leaves (CB1115), Black Scrap Words 32 (CB6113), Leaf Spray (CB5166)

Scrapmatts Stencil: Squares (ST5020)

All papers are from 13Arts’ Aura Rosa collection.  The mediums and paints are from 13Arts, Tattered Angels, and Tim Holtz.  It was a delight working with them all.

Thanks for popping in and I hope you’re having a great weekend.  Thanks to More Than Words’ and Scrap The Girls’ fab challenges and inspirations.  It’s nice to play along again. 🙂

Cheers,

As you’ve noticed by now, I just love scrapping my daughter’s cheeky photos together…they make creating much more inspirational & fun! The title is from the versatile Burnt Cream Scrap Words set, & the Butterflies chipboards are painted white to suit the page.

I’ve used the beautiful Scrapmatts Leaf Sprays stencil as a resist pattern which really stands out from the vibrant colors.  Of course, I had to add more stenciling on this page.  Did you spot the Circles, Strings, & Paint Drips?

Thanks for looking, & I’ll be back soon for another Scrapmatts creation (it’s gonna be a goodie!).  For more Scrapmatts chipboards & stencils, visit their online shop here.

Loving all the Green Tara flowers in this layout.  Hopefully they get to supply more of these soon.

My daughter gave me the 2 thumbs up for this layout.  I’m so lucky to have children who adore looking through their scrapbooks (made by their mom of course!).  Just one of the many reasons I thoroughly enjoy this craft, & now I’m on a mission to share it.  I hope you’ve had a great month & thanks for popping in.  Do check out my class at Scrapaholics next month here.  It’ll be a set of 3 cards this time using the beautiful Storyteller range.  Hope to see you there. 🙂

Most Wonderful Time

Good day.  We’re almost onto December & this has got me inspired to create festive projects lately.  I love Scrap Around the World’s festive November mood board:

decembre

My main inspiration is the wooden star on top of the lit tree, & also the top left image’s white wood & “Most Wonderful Time” sentiment.

“Most Wonderful Time”

Most Wonderful Time

This is my first mixed media Christmas layout, & I had fun creating it :).  We don’t get snow in our side of the world but I really wanted to add some “white” touches to the page, hence the splatters of white paint.

013

I’ve added some media on the hessian paper & layered a star silhouette cut out from a white wood paper.  This is then layered under the sepia photo, giving it a nice frame &  just the right amount of texture & shimmery color.  Various alpha stickers are added at the right side as inspired by the board.  I’ve added a little touch of heart on the photo as well.

015

She’s very happy & delighted to have Santa visit & give her a present from her preschool.  She couldn’t stop talking about it to everyone for weeks! 🙂

016

Thanks for dropping by & I hope you enjoyed my post today.  A big thanks also for the fab inspirations of the SATW team.  Enjoy the rest of your month!

Cheers,
