Hello 2018! A new year means new resolutions, and this year one of my top resolutions is to scrapbook more. Life gets really busy and taking the time to scrapbook and enjoy the creative process is important for me this year. Today I am going to get the crafty ball rolling, sharing with my first layout for 2018.
Ruby Rock-It materials: Faded Empire Florals, Heritage Cardstock Stickers, White Corrugated Cardboard
I’ve had this photo of me with my dear daughters sitting in my “to scrap” pile for quite a while, and I’m so happy that I took the time to create my page just the way I like it…mixed media style.
I started playing with a rainbow of colors of Ranger’s Distress Inkpads for my background, and then built some layers of medium on top.
Ranger Distress Inkpads: Aged Mahogany, Spun Sugar, Walnut Stain, Mustard Seed, Fossilized Amber, Salty Ocean, Mermaid Lagoon, Cracked Pistachio
I framed my photo with Ruby Rock-It’s White Corrugated Cardboard and built a cluster of Faded Empire Florals. I then adhered Heritage Cardstock Stickers for my title to tie it altogether.
Now that’s an awesome start for a crafty 2018! Please follow me in my creative journey this year, getting inky with Ranger’s Distress Inkpads alongsidide Ruby Rock-It Brands’ gorgeous paperfcrafting range.
It’ll be a good forecast ahead!
