Love You Forever

Hi there, how are you today? The temperature is finally warm in our part of the world.  For awhile I thought that summer has forgotten us! It’s nice to give those cardigans & woolies a break, & nothing beats walking around in comfy jandals!

Today I’m posting a layout for Prima’s November BAP, with the lovely sketch by the super Riikka Kovasin:

I love everything about this sketch & Prima products so I had to play along.  Here’s what I created:

“Love You Forever”

Love You Forever

I’ve used the Garden Fable collection for this page.  I fell in love with these papers straight away as soon as I walked into the scrapbooking shop!

Aren’t the Prima flowers just gorgeous? Together with my daughter’s photos I can stare & admire at it for hours.  She’s 2 1/2 here & man she’s growing up quickly…definitely not a baby anymore.  I’ve stained the butterfly chipboard & added some of Finnabair’s Copper Microbeads to it.

Some Everyday Vintage Flair Button, Shabby Chic Treasures Tassel & flower wood embellishment has been added as well.

I’ve coated the love chipboard with the Art Extravagance Caribbean Seas Glitter, & then layered on top of a butterfly from the Lyric Canvas Sticker Sheet.  A couple of chipboards from the Princess & Something Blue collection & a variety of Prima clear & cling stamps have been added to this cluster as well.

I’ve said this before but I’ll mention it again, I just love my Prima brick stencil.  I’ve used them sooooo many times that you can barely see the gray color on the actual stencil (lol!).  I added some of Finnabair’s Pale Silver Mica Powder with the texture paste & the shimmery result is just amazing.  I’ve embossed the corner chipboard & it’s all finished off with some stickers from the Sunrise Sunset collection.

Thanks for dropping in & I hope you enjoyed my post today.  Have a great day!

Fairyland Frame – & Some Winners!!!

Good day.  Christine here posting a Fairyland frame for Artfull Crafts with the new Fairy Dust collection.  You can’t get any girlier than this pretty fairy collection.  If you love magical fairies, tiaras, butterflies, fleur de lis, purples & greens with lashings of silver foil, then this collection is for you.

Believe it or not this is the first fairy project I’ve ever done, & I went fairy all the way with this frame.

“Fairyland Frame”

Fairyland Frame

I’ve used the Geo Hex Wall Art beyond the page project by Kaisercraft & adhered different Fairy Dust papers on the top & under the little hexagons.  This is available to purchase in the shop upon request.  I had this vision of a fairyland with a long leafy vine so I added some Green Tara Satin Leaf Garland.

Of course there has to be flowers around the fairies, & on this frame I’ve added: I Am Roses Large White Paper Rose, Sage Paper Blooms & Amethyst Mini Paper Blooms both by Kaisercraft.

Some of the Fairy Dust papers have some lovely bokeh texture to them.  I added some more texture with a few stamping, stenciling, adding beads & a variety of glimmer mists.  The edges of the frames have been painted with Kaisercraft Metallic Silver Paint, & then inked with Distress Ink.

Some silver foiled butterflies from the specialty paper have been cut, layered & added to the frame for fluttering butterflies around the fairies.  A sticker from the sticker sheet has been inserted inside the Kaiser Treasure Corked Bottle.  Gotta add a bottle that spreads fairy dust on this frame!

The smallest fairy in this frame is from the Collectables & there’s heaps of fairy sayings & inspiration from the Sticker Sheet & papers as well.  I’ve added a Lilac Glitter Butterfly behind this tiny fairy to complete her look.

So what do you reckon? Let me know what you think or leave a comment if you’ve got any question.

I’d also like to announce the winners of the Christmas cards from last month.  Thank you for your lovely comments, & the drawn names are: JUDY; JULENE MATTHEWS; YVONNE SAVAGE; APNZ55; & PINK LADY NZ.  I might have added a few fun embellies in your envelopes as well ;-).  Ladies, please email me your postal address at  I’ll send them all to you just before the middle of the month (As you’re reading this post, I’m currently 12.5 hours away from NZ).

Do check out the Fairy Dust collection here.  Thanks for dropping in & congrats again to the winners!

Childhood Memories

Hi there, how’s it going? Today I’m posting for Artfull Crafts & Kaisercraft August Sketch featuring the Time Machine collection.  Last week I’ve posted a couple of Father’s Day cards with the same collection, & this time I’m sharing a layout with a punch of color.

“Childhood Memories”

Childhood Memories

These photos are taken year 1987…a special moment back in time!

The base paper is Steam Engine & layered on top is the Hour specialty gloss paper.  Some texture paste has been added through the Damask template, one of the first template Kaiser has released & I still find myself using it over & over again.

A good addition of orange mist (which looks great through the specialty paper’s gloss) has been added around the cut out Coggler paper.  I then traced a couple of large puzzle pieces on the Clocks paper & cut them out.  I just love the combination of teal & orange against the black.

Some pieces from the Collectables & sticker sheet (which has lots of versatile pieces) has been added throughout the photos.

For the cluster I’ve added a Coral Paper Bloom, Artfull Embellies Butterflies Wooden Button, Jasmine Peach Paper Flower, cog chipboard & resin frame.

This layout is inspired by Kaisercraft’s lovely August sketch which I flipped:

And our challenge at Artfull Crafts which is Pens, Puzzles & Paint.  Do check it out & play along here.

I had fun creating this layout & I hope you enjoyed my post.  Thanks for dropping in & don’t forget to have a good look at the awesome Time Machine collection here.  Have a great day! 🙂

A Touch of Gold

Hi there, how’s it going? Today I’m posting an off the page project for Artfull Crafts featuring Kaisercraft’s new August collection “A Touch of Gold“.  It has lots of delicious gold foil with fun geometric shapes and beautifully worded phrases that will add a touch of glamour to any project & is very versatile.  For this project I’ve used Kaisercraft’s Multi Purpose Box.  It is available at the shop upon request & is also currently 20% off.  I love storage & it was fun creating with this box paired with the delightful A Touch of Gold collection.

“Be Bright” Storage Box

A Touch of Gold has 4 different gorgeous Foil Specialty Papers (Doily Diecut, Pinstripe, Confetti & Christmas Words) which I’ve incorporated in this storage box.

I’ve colored the edges with a metallic gelato which goes nicely with the gold, white & black color scheme of the collection.  You actually don’t need to apply much, & it gives the box a really nice finish.  I’ve cut out a couple of framed phrases from the Lavish paper & added them to the front & right sides of the box.

A coat of good ol’ Stickles was added to a Kaisercraft wooden flourish & is added to a small cluster with a die cut piece from the Collectables & some black wire.

I’ve added splashes of black paint on some sides of the box, which is also inspired by our August challenge: Paint, Pens and Puzzles.  You can tell that my inky fingers & paint brush had fun with this project! Do check out the challenge here & the prize for this month’s winner are these papers.  A choice prize indeed.

The other papers I’ve used from the collection here are: Glitz, Deluxe, Sheen & Gleam.

I love how the Doily Specialty paper is gold foiled as well, so delish! On this cluster are layers of die cuts from the Collectables & a gold foiled word cut out from the Christmas word paper.

The dividers are prettied up on both sides with papers as well from the same collection, & some left over papers from my stash of Kaiser’s Shine Bright collection & My Mind’s Eye’s Fancy That collection (there’s still a few bits & pieces from these ranges that are available at the shop).

You get a 15% off discount if you purchase the full A Touch of Gold collection here.  Thanks for dropping in & I hope you enjoyed looking at my project.  Have a great month ahead! 🙂
