Good day it is! The sun is finally shining & has put a stop to the grotty wet winter weather. Please Mr. Sunshine last all the way through the weekend!!! I’m also finally getting over the flu & had the chance to create a layout & play along my favourite scrappy challenges. First up is Scrap Around The World’s decadent, celebratory mood board by Helen Tilbury:
My main inspirations are the round sprinkles on the martini glass, the pearl studs on the high heels, & the saying: “Life should not only be lived, it should be celebrated!”
I’ve combined it with Prima’s May BAP, sketch designed by Jennifer Snyder:
Here’s my layout:
My daughter’s photo here was taken on an ordinary day, but we decided to play dress up anyway. She’s got a shiny & ruffled pink dress on & what a great day it was! There’s so much fun to be had with young kids 🙂
The photo is framed with Prima’s burlap sheet. I love the Stripes resist canvas, which I’ve misted with my Prima Color Bloom Sprays & Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists, keeping to the purple & brown colors from the Butterfly tags & papers.
Isn’t the gold glittery heart on the stick just adorable? Lots of pearls, bling & stars which is inspired by the mood board’s pearl studs, decadence & round sprinkles. The Licorice Glass Beads ,cabachons, stencil, & stamps are from Finnabair, except for the heart stamp which is from the Butterfly collection as well, & the rectangle stitch stamp from Prima.
Thanks heaps to the team of artistic souls from Scrap Around the World & Prima who always inspire me. And thanks for taking the time to drop in 🙂
Hi there & happy weekend to you! I hope you’re having an awesome one! It was so nice to have family come over & the kids had a great time playing & catching up with each other. Today I’m sharing a layout for My Creative Scrapbook for their April sketch challenge:
I’ve rotated the sketch:
Such a fun sketch! Here’s what I made:
“Got The Moves”
Oh yeah, she makes me want to dance, dance, dance…just check out those moves!
She has been very attached to this pink sunnies lately, she’ll take it with her all the time. Oh to be pedantic! I wonder where she got that from? 🙂
I have journalled here how I was working in the kitchen while singing to an upbeat song. She heard me & came running to the kitchen & danced to the beat of my singing. It was so funny & adorable. Lucky I always have my camera handy!
Thanks for the sketch & lovely inspirations, & thanks for dropping in. Have a great weekend!
Good day all!
I’m very excited to show you a layout using some new & yet to be released flowers from Scrappers Garden. They are too cute & my new fave! They’re layered, inked & glittered…the works! My daughter dear is wearing a pink Manny Pacquiao shirt in these pictures. After he won his last match (which is very well deserved), I thought I’d scrapbook these photos. She wore this shirt at our tennis club & everyone started to call her “Little Manny”.
I used the photo overlays as background layers, & I think it worked well. I’ve had the stars stamps for ages, but I can still find so many ways of using them! I don’t work with the color pink a lot, but I really like this layout. I watercoloured the Carnation flowers for an extra pop of pink. Watch out when these new Zinnia flowers are released so you can purchase them soon at http://www.scrappersgarden.com.au.
It’s been a pleasure working with all the yummy Scrappers Garden flowers. Thank you Linda for taking me on as a guest designer & I hope I didn’t disappoint. Watch out for the DT, they’re an amazing group of ladies!
Hi there. It’s been a couple of weeks since I last entered a challenge for CSI, & it’s great to be back on it! The color combination for this challenge is so pretty, I had to do a page for my daughter dear. This is also my second entry for Artfull Craft’s Water & Wings challenge.I’ve cut out some pink butterflies from Kaisercraft’s Hummingbird specialty paper. The photos I used for this page is my daughter having a messy, fun & wet time with our backyard planters. I specified in the journaling how she told me she was looking after the plants for mommy & daddy…she’s such a sweetie! It’s moments like these I get tickled pink 🙂
Here’s the case:
Here’s how I solved it:
Here are my chosen evidences:
My testimony is: Put your journaling in an envelope.
It’s a very soft & pretty color combination, don’t you think? That’s it for today. Thanks for stopping by.
