Here’s the masculine layout I created for our Movember Challenge:

“Dads Are Awesome”

Dads Are Awesome

Canvas Corp Materials: Black & Ivory Plaid Paper, Cameras on Ivory Paper, Hoot Mixed Media Origins Paper, Chocolate E-Flute Paper, Burlap Sheets (Natural; Dark Blue; Grey; Cappuccino), Sisal Rope, Natural Jute Cord

Tattered Angels Paints: Cowboy Glimmer Glaze, Glimmer Mists (Graphite; Juniper; Tattered Leather; It’s Brown), Chalkboard Mists (Splash; Admiral; Monolith)

What caught my eye from the mood board straight away is the triangle on the middle right image, the shades of the top left image, the rusty feel/effect, and of course the word “man”.  I love taking on masculine projects as I don’t create them that often.

I’ve given the triangles chipboard a good coat of Cowboy Glimmer Glaze to complement the chocolate color of the E-Flute paper.  For the chains chipboard, I simply shaded them with the Monolith Chalkboard Mist and It’s Brown and Graphite Glimmer Mists.

Canvas Corp has an amazing range of Burlap Sheets and I just love adding them to my projects.  The dark blue, grey, and different brown burlap sheets added some texture and pops of masculine colors to the page.  The splatter, graffiti like print of the Hoot Mixed Media Origins paper is the perfect layering addition to this masculine page.

I painted and traced some rusty colored triangles with a combination of Tattered Angels paints as mentioned on the materials list, which gave the page a fun rusty background.
