Good day! I’ve been working hard lately so the moment I had some free time, I gave myself some time to scrap. No excuses! Today I get to share with you my layout which is inspired & for More Than Words’ February Sparkle challenge:
And Prima’s February BAP:
Here’s my shimmery, shiny page with added sparkles:
I’ve used papers from Prima’s Garden Fable collection. I love how versatile it is & here I used it for the base & layers of my daughter’s swimming page. The fun chipboard pieces are from the Bloom Girl range.
I was inspired by the word challenge “wonderful” with my wonderful daughter & the story of her photo. She had such a wonderful first swimming lesson, she didn’t want to hop out of the water! I’ve integrated a lot of sparkly, shiny & shimmery elements to my layout for the creative challenge “sparkle”: shiny & shimmery mists & inks, sparkly crystals, & the shimmery fabric flowers & embossing powder. These are all inspired by the shimmery water in the photo & the sparkle in her eyes.
I’ve used a couple of Prima stamps & the Chevron & Stains stencil. The Stains stencil is very effective for adding the wet water look. The awesome sparkly crystals are from the Royal Menagerie range. I was mesmerized as soon as I saw these pretty crystals from the shop.
For extra texture I added some Finnabair microbeads. The gorgeous flowers are from the Royal Menagerie range too. It’s all finished off with some journaling & Prima pink waxed cord.
I had fun creating & playing along. Thanks heaps for the lovely challenges & inspirations, & I hope you enjoyed your visit. Enjoy the rest of your month.
